My name is Eva Stern, and I believe that to maintain our longevity and creativity as musicians, we’ve got to keep moving.
Through a blend of my background as a musician, a Franklin Method®Educator, a Pilates teacher and a Roll Model® Method practitioner, I help musicians and creative people feel more mobile, aware and connected to their bodies so they feel inspired to create to their fullest potential.
As a musician myself, I get it because I do it too.
You work your body really hard.
You play for long periods of time in a high pressure environment.
You need your body to work so you can make the sounds you want to make.
I can help! Whether you strength and balance training through Pilates, mobility and pain mitigation through self-myofascial release and imagery, or music lessons with a mind/body approach, it’s all here for you at Forte Movement.
Forte Movement is my system of teaching movement for musicians based on:
My years of experience as a violist in orchestral, chamber music and academic settings.
My years of experience with aches and pains, tightness and performance anxiety from above musical experience.
My experience as a comprehensively trained Pilates teacher, Franklin Method® Educator and Roll Model® Method practitioner.
My love of teaching and all things movement tinkering.
